The Return Of Electronic Rock - Update!

We are proud to share with you the latest infos for the "Return Of Electronic Rock" concert in german city of Dinslaken on november 24th, 2012.

After a longer search, we can present you now a supporting act and we must note, that we could not find a better one.

So our supporting act will be: "DIN A Testbild".

"Mark Eins" - head of this cultband - and his collegues will perform a special one hour show plus some videoanimations.

Bernd Kistenmacher returns back to the stage. And this time not alone but with Burghard Rausch, the known drummer of german progrock band "AgitationFree". The two musicians will occur together for the first time in their lifes and the audience may expect a really "powerful" night.

"Roland Systems Group", responsible for pro-audio equipment, publishes a nice report about my last concert in "Planetarium Muenster" and studio-equipment, which I used for the production of "Antimatter".

Planetarium Muenster - Update no. 2

10 days left until 14th of january 2012! After we have put some final grip on "Antimatter", we will not only have a nice concert in "Planetarium Muenster", we will also have the "world premiere" of my new solo-album.
But there will be more on this unique day:
Visitors and guests can enjoy some presentations in the Planetarium's foyer. "Roland" will install a nice "Synthesizer-Island" to present their latest synthesizers, "Synthesizer-Magazin" will show a brandnew analogue modular-system and last but no least "MellowJet Records" will be also there with a big stand to present their full CD-programme.

For all of you who will need a little break or refreshment: you can visit the "Café Landois" which is inside of the house and all of you, who will travel by car: there is a big parking-area in front of the Planetarium. You can find some travel informations "here"

Since we seem to get no winter(!) this year, the chances are good travelling-conditions. Some "tickets" are still available and you can buy or reserve them directly "here". So make your plans for a nice weekend in Muenster with a great concert-evening now!

Merry christmas and a happy new year 2011!

My dear friends,
christmas time is there and it is time for gifts!

2010 was again a year with successful events and new releases.
 Inspiration cannot be planned or prepared and when I had started to read Frank Schaetzing's science-fiction novel "The swarm" one year ago, I didn't know how deep it would touch and inspire me. So the music of "Beyond The Deep" happened in fact from itself.

First "tests" during the "Music Fair in Frankfurt" in march showed, that there was a real chance that you would like this music. The response of you confirmed this.

This brings me to the very positive cooperation with "Roland Germany", which had been intensified over the past 12 months. From "Frankfurt Music Fair" to "Ricochet Gathering" in Berlin and finally to Cologne and Berlin with a series of synthesizer-workshops (with my personal premiere as "lecturer" on synthesizer topics). This cooperation will continue and at the moment we work on new activitites in 2011.

Back to "Beyond The Deep". Short before the release of the CD, I was invited by "Schallwende e.V." to inaugurate the renovated "Planetarium Bochum" in past june. This was my first concert in Germany since many years. The Planetarium was sold out and what can I say: there are considerations and plans to do more in 2011 - of course.
The invitation to participate on the famous "Ricochet Gathering" festival (for the first time in Berlin) reached me in august. For a certain time, I was involved into the organisation. This was another chance again to meet interesting and nice people. Future cooperations could be a result of this. But I was also asked to perform and did this with a longer, new track which was conceived as a musical bridge between my recent symphonic style and past "berlin school" textures. This track - "Let It Out!" - will be my christmas-gift to all of you. Together with "MellowJet Records", we decided to release this music for the first time only as download - available only via the website of "MellowJet Records". Date of release is "01.01.2011"

So we start with a brandnew release into the next year. More will follow.

Finally I will not leave this year without saying thank you to all people, who have helped me to go forward again. Thank you to Bernd Scholl and his family (MellowJet Records), Sylvia and Klaus-Ulrich Sommerfeld (Schallwende e.V.) Mrs Huettemeister (Planetarium Bochum), Andreas Michel (Synthesizer Magazin), Ute (Rathaus Schoeneberg), Cord Brandis and Michael Menze (Roland Germany), Olivier, Christian, Yann, James and all other guys of Cosmiccagibi and last but not least the best friend of the world: Michel Le Stum.

SAE Institute presents next Synthesizer- Workshops

"SAE-School of Audio Engineering" presents on their website the next series of synthesizer-workshops in Berlin on december 4th. "Roland" music company will do again a "hands-on synthesizer" presentation.

As in cologne, the day will be finished with concerts from "Moogulator" and me.  The venue is the atrium of "SAE".

Ricochet Gathering - Roland Company is main supporter!

Yesterday was a good day.

The upcoming "Ricochet Gathering" festival in Berlin is not only a place to discover a lot of finest electronic music or to meet famous artists.
It is also a place to discover the "machines behind" which are responsible for all those crazy sounds: the synthesizers.
As known since some weeks, "Roland Germany" will set up a special "synthesizer-island" during the whole festival. "Hands-on synthesizers" is the right motto for you and the opportunity to discover quite cool "machines". Other companies (for example "Manikin Electronic") will follow.
But there is more! Roland will also support the festival with their latest digital "Pro-Audio" equipment. That means, that they will install the actual "V-Mixing System M-400 console" which is distributed by "Roland RSS" and they will record the planned sessions as well as the concert with the new "Cakewalk Sonar" recording system. What an offer!

So yesterday was "training-day" at "GL-Audio". We ( Berlin's best sound engineers and some artists, which are involved in the organization of the festival) were exclusively introduced into the "V-Mixing System" by Mr. Michael Menze from Roland. He is product specialist for digital audio. So a lot of "oohs" and "aahs" and much more, a lot of answered questions were the result of this meeting. Michael will also participate on the "Ricochet Gathering" and all artist as well as the audience can be assured that the music will be delivered with best sound equipment.

Synthesizer-Symposia

In cooperation with "Roland Deutschland", german "Synthesizer-Magazin" has initiated two unique "Synthesizer-Symposia", which will happen at the end of this year.

The one-day seminar is on different topics with lecturers / specialists for synthesizer. Divided into several blocks seminars.
This means that each participant can attend during the day, all seminars in rotation.At the end of the day are planned:

    * Synthesizer-artist hearing with Q & A session
    * In the evening a live performance with synthesizer-artist Bernd Kistenmacher
 
In addition, there is also a "hands-on exhibition with synthesizers to discover and try out ".

Looking back ...and forward!

My dear friends,

this was 2009. Well, it wasn't an easy but almost an exciting year.

So I was allowed to participate in a lot of "premieres". For example my first laudatory during the launch of "Schallwelle - Preis für elektronische Musik in Deutschland" or my return on stage after 9 years of abstinence in Paris by invitation of my friends of "Cosmiccagibi". I also became a "Featured Artist" by Roland - Germany. A fact which makes me very proud.
And yes, I became a member of the "MellowJet Records family", which released my album "Celestial Movements" in past november. All these things make me happy, proud, optimistic and hungry for new activities in 2010.

So I am really happy to announce my next concert on 12th of june at the "Zeiss Planetarium Bochum". This will be the first concert after the complete renovation of the planetarium that will be equipped with new sound, lighting and new seats. It takes place on the initiative and invitation of Sylvia Sommerfeld from "Schallwende e.V." and Bernd Scholl from "MellowJet Records". Official ticket sales will start in april, but pre-orders and reservations can be done before by eMail at schallwende@web.de .

Of course a second concert is in preparation as well as a lot of activities by Roland, where I will be involved in too. Informations about all this can be read here soon.

I was also asked by "MellowJet" to produce a new album for autumn 2010 too. Because I was told that my fans will not "wait" another 8 years for it, I must hurry up and return to my synths now.

But before I do this, I will say thank you to all my friends in France, Germany or anywhere else and to my family too, who ever believed in me. Your energy gives me the power to go forward - with no doubts.

This short news are very "Rolandesque" indeed but they might be interesting to you:

First, "Roland Germany" (a division of the Roland Group) will support my concert in Paris. So beside other Equipment from Roland, which I use since many years, the "V-Synth GT"and the actual "Juno-Stage" Synthesizers will take part on my "show". Also Roland announces my concert on their german website. Please find more infos under "actual dates".

Second, the german "Synthesizer-Magazin" has just released issue no. 16 with my experience report about the huge "Fantom G8" Workstation, which I have written in may and june this year.

At third, "Planet Origo", the website for latest news from movie- and music-business (specialised on SF- Movies and electronic- and contemporary music) from Estonia, also mentions my concert in Paris. Many thanks to Glenn Folkvord.
